The matriarch of the family , Rosine Rieux, opened her first TOBACCO SHOP: Tabacs les Valls. It was a shop of just over 10 square meters and the opening hours at that time were different .... sometimes it closed at 2 am!!! Through effort and perseverance, the business prospered.
LES 1000 PIPES opened, in an area on the outskirts of the center of Andorra la Vella.
Les 1000 PIPES was one of the first SPECIALIZED stores in the country!
Gradually the area got filled with more and more shops and over time became the commercial area of reference of the country, known as the “Shopping Mile”

1969
LES 1000 PIPES opened, in an area on the outskirts of the center of Andorra la Vella. When it first opened, the street was unpaved and the area was surrounded by fields.

The second generation took over the business, Rosine’s son Rémy, became in charge of the business. His first mission was to computerize the shop (one of the first retail shops in Andorra to do so). The goal was to optimize the stocks to help to ensure FRESHNESS. Over the years I have also enlarged our product base.

Patricia, Rémy’s sister, joins the team and adds German to the other 4 languages already spoken.

2015
The shop got its first professional grade WALK-IN HUMIDOR.
2017We opened the section of VINTAGE CIGARS

2019
The third generation, Mark, Rémy’s son, joins the team to take the business to the next level. Giving it visibility online and through Social Networks, such as this same web page or other audiovisual content.
With all these prestigious shops around, LES 1000 PIPES is kind of a "survivor", one of the few family shops that does not stand out for its looks, but for its PERSONALIZED SERVICE, its EXPERT ADVICE and for the QUALITY and FRESHNESS of its TOBACCO.
